Book Review:

Patches by Valerie Austin Holdsworth
Apple Print 2017

Bayside Poet Val's own colourful cover art and illustrations grace her collection of 'Poetry, stories - some family myths, and exaggerations.' Val writes with wry humour, empathy and tenderness of times gone by living in bayside Melbourne and of her travels around the world. Val's book includes poems and stories for children and is a truly well-crafted and personal patchwork.

SIDE NOTE:

Always a much sought after boost of humour and vitality for the heavy heart, our wishes came true in October 2017 when Val returned to our library and lifted our spirits once more with the Bayside Poetry Group as part of our offering for the
Kingston Seniors Festival
